Ayushi Tandon is Ph.D. candidate in Information Systems area at the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, India. As part of her dissertation she is investigating use of electronic medical records for obstetrics and gynaecology outpatient consulting. She is looking at cultural aspects that results in limited use, unintended use or scope creep of EMR. She has used interview and ethnographic observations for collecting data part of this project. As part of her two other ongoing research projects she is investigating mechanism behind user engagement in the context of online learning using mobile applications. She has two years of industry work experience at Qualcomm India private limited, Hyderabad, where she worked as an associate engineer in Modem, data services team. She graduated in 2012 from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology Allahabad, India, in electronics and communication engineering. Details are available at her institute profile page.
