I am a Health Informatics Educationist and Independent Consultant for Digital Health Standards, with a basic training as a medical doctor (University of Calcutta) who has done PhD in Biomedical Engineering from IIT, BHU, Varanasi. I am included in the Roster (of Experts) for Digital Health of the World Health Organization (WHO). Formerly I was Dean (Academics and Student Affairs) and Professor (Health Informatics) at IIHMR, Delhi. Previously, I was leading a Project of the Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, as the first Project Director for the Centre for Health Informatics of the National Health Portal (NHP). I am a Founder Member of HL7 FHIR Foundation and I have been an Expert Adviser for the ELAG (e-Learning Advisory Group) of SNOMED-CT. I’m Founder Director of Supten Institute. I am a member of the Board of Governors, Commonwealth University College of Medicine, Saint Lucia. I am an IMA Honorary Professor (2017-20), Distinguished Fellow, HITLAB and Faculty and Fellow (2007-09) of PSG FAIMER Regional Institute.
